What is Wan3.0?
Wan3.0, launched by Alibaba in August 2026 days after a $10 billion share placement to fund AI spending, generates clips of up to 30 seconds in one pass at up to 1080p, double the ceiling of Wan2.7, and can produce video from documents, spreadsheets, slides, and web pages as well as prompts. Unlike the open-weight Wan 2.x family, Wan3.0 is a closed, API-only model on Alibaba Cloud Model Studio.
